Services - Eye Pressure Testing
Tonometry is a test done to measure the pressure inside your eyes and forms an important part of a comprehensive eye examination. Individuals with eye pressure higher than normal are at risk of developing eye diseases such as glaucoma. High eye pressure can also damage the delicate nerve fibres in the back of the eye, resulting in blindness. If the test comes back positive, an eye doctor can begin treatment, which could delay the progression of the disease.
